Mystery Action #28

Mystery Action

Host: Charles Gaskins

You ever watch that movie Clue? It was based on the board game of the same name. You know what I’m talking about, dude? It had Lee Ving from the band Fear in it! It also had that chick from the Go-Go’s in it and she got shot. That dude from Home Alone 2 is in it and so is that guy from Mr. Mom and the lady who played the wife of the hardware store owner in Home Improvement and the chick from Speed 2: Cruise Control plays the maid. Well, it was a favorite of mine growing up and I still watch it every few weeks. To make a long story short… too late? Well, this episode was made in honor of that film.

Rock’n'Roll Suicide #35

Rock\'n\'Roll Suicide

Host: R. Fink

R. Fink is back with another rock ‘em, sock ‘em, kick-ass stack of wax in this edition, number 35, of Rock’n’Roll Suicide. Twist to the now sounds of the Final Solutions, the Tuff Bananas, Off With Their Heads and the Surfites. Jerk with selections from the GaragePunk.com comp. “Party Time” and do “The Mouse” with local heroes, the Screaming Shambles, as they do (as best as I can tell) the un-comped smash, “House of the Rising Mouse.” Here are some thoughts on the tune from onetime Shamble, Harry Hepcat…

“‘House of the Rising Mouse’ was done at a really big studio. It was on a small label (Sonic) and we were all set to do the tune on Soupy Sales’ TV show. He used to do a dance he called ‘The Mouse,’ but there was no record about the dance. At the last minute, he decided to record his own ‘mouse’ tune. Thus, we didn’t appear. I like ours better.”

So grab this podcast, check out the action and go baby go!

Killed By Porn

Killed By Porn thanks Mar Vista Lanes for having us in their alley to record this installment of the podcast. On our minds this time around: corporate sponsorship, self-improvement books, summer fun, and making our future Wikipedia pages look good. On the turntable this time around: Hasil Adkins, Antler Joe & the Accidents, the Sick Things, the Suicide Commandos, Kajun SS, and many others.

Brad says: My computer totally died this week so I’ve been spending most of my time trying to get that back up and running and then re-installing all my programs and trying to find passwords and all that other happy horseshit, but I did manage to get together this brand new episode of get drunk and play records, full of great classic songs off punk-rock singles by bands like the Rip Offs, Reatards, Carbonas, Tyrades and more!

Killed By Porn #20

Killed By Porn

Host: Duke Eastwood

This week, infamous Web designer, Kristian Boruff stops by to hide an impossible-to-solve riddle within the bytes of this podcast. Don’t try to solve it, that’s for the nerds. All you have to do is listen to this mid-summer’s air set, play it at your pool party, barbecue, or wife-swapping shindig. It’s either that or turn the file over to hacker geek forums; We trust you’ll do the right thing with it.

If you haven’t done so yet, leave a voicemail comment at (206) 202-1335, you may get to hear yourself in an upcoming podcast!
